A novel situated in Georgia, USA, between the world wars. The book is written in the form of letters and tells the survival story of Celie, a young black woman who faces violence and racism.

I've read the book in Finnish and liked it a lot despite the grave themes.
I found this copy at the Tampere city main library Metso's book swap cart.
