Strange Shores
6 journalers for this copy...
Erlendur is looking for Matthildur who disappeared long ago but also for a long-lost brother whose disappearance in a snowstorm when they where children has coloured his entire life. He is looking for answers... A very sad book but so beautiful. And I always enjoy the sound of Icelandic names.
Bonne lecture !
Thank you, Nodame.
It is a very good book, and I liked it.
Flying to Finland.

Indriason has arrived in Turku! He's a bit surprised to land into a grey country instead of snow-filled wonderland, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for a proper winter to hit us soon.
Thank you very much for sending the wishlist book my way, Passeur-X! It is much appreciated!

What is it with Icelandic writers and me just not clicking? There's a sense of familiarity, but then again our worlds just don't meet at any level. I bet I'd love a movie or tv series based on the book for its visuality, but the written words don't manage to keep me glued... Oh well, it's not the first time I don't go wild over a praised and much hyped book!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Found the book on a Finnish crosser's wishlist, so I'm passing the book forward!
That would be me. I have read these books in Finnish, Swedish and English so it's always difficult to say quickly have I read it or not. But if this is from my wish list then I haven't read it yet. Thanks Pippis and all the couriers between Turku and Helsinki.
I'm quite fond of Indriðason and tend to pick up his books whenever I come across them. This one I haven't read yet, so it came home with me. Thanks for sharing!
Reserved for my journal entry.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Next off to Soozreader as a wishlist surprise. Enjoy!
Okay, so instead of finishing this on the way to Kotka, I finished it on the way back, which means the book's still with me until I'm ready to send it off to Soozreader along with two other books she's waiting for.
And then about the book. What a fantastic – and sad – ending to a brilliant series this was! Totally unexpected, yet fitting. A different Erlendur book in many ways.
