A good read intertwining the stories of two women in Afghanistan: Ellen Thomas, a journalist on a quest to discover the story behind the death of her friend and translator and Hasina, the mother of a jihadist fighter, determined to protect and save her son, whatever the cost. A well crafted story, with empathy for both sides.
