A Touch of Poison
5 journalers for this copy...
I picked this up at the book launch at When Words Collide -please return it to me when it's gone through the group!
Gwenwyn is the most miserable princess ever, and for good reason. Merely brushing up against her or touching her exposed skin is enough to cause painful burns, or worse. And if that wasn't enough, she's just discovered the singular reason for her existence - to act as the king's secret assassin, murdering neighboring princes with nothing more than a simple kiss...

Welcome to bookcrossing! You have "caught" what we call a "travelling book." It is now your book to keep or to read and pass on to another reader and follow where the book goes. This is done by journal entries, so I really hope you'll journal it, if only to tell me you found it. You can do this anonymously, or sign up (free and private, no spam) and also be able to follow the book as it travels! If you do, please consider listing me, megami-no-ushi as your referring member.

Picked up at the October meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant.
This was a fun fairy tale. A bit slow moving in the middle, with a relentless bully, but a very satisfying conclusion.
Taken to the May meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers at Cravings Market Restaurant, to find a new reader.
I picked this up at the May meeting - there was a stack waiting for me when I arrived VERY late.
Discovered this down on my shelf and thought - but I took this back. Hmmm - appears I had 2 copies of it! Good read - hard to imagine a father making you eat things that make your skin poisonous!
I am bringing this to tomorrows meetup at Cravings to be passed on to the next reader.
Brought home for me by my roommate! Looking forward to it!
Really enjoyed this fairy tale! It was a bit predictable, and it isn't what I would call an action packed story, but the writing style flowed nicely for me and thought it kept nicely to what was more realistic given the main character's actual experiences. The story also had a nicely wrapped up finish.
Thanks for the fun read!
