Reconstructing Amelia: A Novel
7 journalers for this copy...
I've been pondering this book for ages and when I saw it on the bargain rack at chapters after buying my new camera, I decided it was meant to be. (I was in there since the book I had was taking far less time than I imagined.)

Welcome to bookcrossing! You have "caught" what we call a "travelling book." It is now your book to keep or to read and pass on to another reader and follow where the book goes. This is done by journal entries, so I really hope you'll journal it, if only to tell me you found it. You can do this anonymously, or sign up (free and private, no spam) and also be able to follow the book as it travels! If you do, please consider listing me, megami-no-ushi as your referring member.

Brought this home from the July Book Crossing meeting. Read a review on it so am interested in reading it.
I enjoyed this book but also found it a bit disturbing which I guess is the point. The writer choose an interesting style in which to tell the story. I did find some of the details a bit far fetched though, like allowing the mother of the victim to come along in the police investigation.
Taking this to the Feb BookCrossing meeting to be enjoyed by the next reader.
Oops! Somehow I neglected to record that I picked this up at the February meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers.
It is safely in my hands!

This was a compelling telling of a very tragic story. Quite an unexpected role that the teacher, Liv, played. I found this quite an unlikely scenario.
I cheated and listened to the audio book of this, which was very well performed.

Taking to the July 2016 meet-up of BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant, to find a new reader.
Safely in my hands...
Wow this was a tough book to read because of the subject matter. I started out with audio but finished reading as really got into it. I did enjoy the book...
Few far fetched things as others have said but certainly have a look into 15 year old life at private school. I fear for my granddaughter!

I am taking this book to our monthly bookcrossers meet up at Cravings - the second Saturday of every month- to pass on to the next reader.
I brought this home from the October meet up at Cravings.
Powerful story about youth and how cruel they can be but also about how some people don't change when they grow up. Sad, riveting, and a character that you just have to care about. I started out listening to a downloaded version but finally just had to pick up the book so I didn't have to wait to be in the car to listen. Lots of unexpected turns.
I am bringing a bunch of books back to be passed on to others at the August meetup at Cravings.
Just picked this one up at our last meeting.
This is a heart wrenching story about a 15 year old girl which explores the world of bullying by texts, emails and social media. It's a story about girl who wants to belong and the price she pays for wanting and not wanting to belong.
