This is a powerful story of marriage and life in the mountains. The author does an excellent job of capturing the characters' voices and weaves an elegent tapestry of their lives. This is not a quick read, but it's worth it.

Passed along to Digestclub on Tuesday, 4/20/04. I LOVED this book. The detail really hooked me and it was a very quick read for me. A lot of life's lessons in this book especially about the give and take of marriage, joy and hardship in the world, and that God provides!
