Got this book from iagal at the Des Moines Meetup in January. Excellent book!!! I enjoyed reading about the smoke jumpers parachuting into a fire and helping to put it out. The storyline of two best friends in love with the same women and how a tradegy affects their lives was very moving. I would highly recommend this book to others!!!

The Smoke Jumper marked the end of my free J-Term reading time. I read almost 20 books during my winter break- most of them BC books- and now I'm back into the midst of things here at school. It was a good book to read- I loved the characters, especially Skye (SPOILER) and was very disappointed when she did not survive the fire. I also liked how Connor, Julia and Amy met again in Africa- very cinematic like the back cover says. I must say though, I did think the book dragged on a bit. A few hundred pages could have been chunked off and everything would have worked out fine. But it was a great read, and I thank everyone for the chance to read it.
