Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter: A Novel

First a love story between a young man and an older woman. Not too spectacular, but it moves along.
Second, pieces of soap opera that come every second chapter and that never have an ending. It's a bit like Calvino's traveller in a winter night. You get into it and it doesn't go on. After the second, it becomes annoying to have to read so many non-contributing stories. (The intended pun of Llosa is that the stories become more weird as the author is turning crazy and there is some link between the two plot lines. Well that doesn't make me want to read them.)
Did not enjoy this book at all.
