I found this good-condition paperback at Savers, and nabbed it for a release copy. I'd read excerpts from the book many times, from school days on, but this book seems to include the whole thing, from some of the more humdrum scenes to some very personal ones indeed (Anne didn't keep much back from her diary). And, of course, there's the heartwrenching context of the story, making the most ordinary events of daily life resonate with a sense of doom... Yet Anne's nature comes through, hopeful and brave.

[The story has inspired a number of screen adaptations; the first one I remember seeing is the 1959 film. There's a TV Tropes page on the book with some intriguing comments.]

I dropped this book off in the Little Free Library at around 11; hope the finder enjoys it!
