We read most of the books in the "Little House" series aloud to our daughter, Jesse, when she was five or six.
From the back of the book:
"The 'Little House' books tell the story of Laura Ingalls Wilder's life. She was born in 1867 in the little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin, and through the years she traveled with her family by covered wagon through Kansas, Minnesota, and finally the Dakota Territory, where she met and married Almanzo Wilder.
There was deprivation and hard work. Crops were ruined by storms and grasshopper plagues. But there were also the happy times of love and laughter: sleigh rides, holiday celebrations and socials. These eight titles -- now in paperback -- bring the Ingalls family vividly alive and capture the best of the American pioneer spirit."
In ON THE BANKS OF PLUM CREEK, the Ingalls family move from a sod house to a new house on the banks of Plum Creek. Laura's father has bought the building materials on credit, planning to pay for them when he harvests his first crop. Then the grasshoppers come...

I found the book in Denny's restrant in PG. It was sitting under the public phone on the metal ledge. The staff including my self thought it was a school book some child left behind as most of us have read this story in school.
If possible I would like to send it back to ontario with my mother when she comes to visit me and then she can leave it in the airport and see where it goes from there

Well I have read the book and I was going to send it to ontario but the problem was that my mother never came over for a visit so I never had the chance to let it travel. So I would like to wait and hold on to it so that I can let it travel some where exotic. I have a friend going to thialand in a month or two and maybe he wil drop it off at some airport for me along the way.
