Rec'd as trade, many thanks Dusties. I've read 'The Owls of Gloucester' in this series, would like to read them all.
Domesday whodunnits set historically around the census-takers of William the Conqueror in the 1080's. Lovely cover, much nicer than the UK edition.

Enjoyed as much as The Owls of Gloucester.
The unpopular heir of an unpopular local landowner is found dead. Nuns are accosted when returning to their priory. King William's census takers arrive in Maldon to find they have more than mere land disputes over which to arbitrate. Then we have the somewhat erm..testy problem of Humphrey!
This is now continuing its adventures via my historical mystery bookbox #2, hope it finds a fan.

Snaffled from the Historical Fiction bookbox (thanks, shylock), which is now on its way to Moondreamer.
