I finished this on the tube on the way home from work, then arrived home and turned on the TV to see Carlos Acosta on the One Show. What a lovely man. I really enjoyed reading his story. I found it funny, moving and enlightening in terms of what Cuba was like to grow up in at that time. I was disappointed when the book ended. I wanted to read more.

Wow! Such a fascinating memoir & what a journey from a troubled, poverty-stricken childhood in Cuba, to Principal dancer at the Royal Ballet. The book ended far too soon, I do hope Carlos writes volume 2 of his memoirs. Shall pass this on to my friend who is also a ballet fan. Thanks again, Poodlesister!
