Compiled in 1996, this book describes the lives of Christians in Vietnam.
Each chapter of this book tells the story of a Vietnamese Christian who has been persecuted by the Vietnamese communist government for believing in a western religion. It is considered anti-communist to be a Christian. The Vietnamese Christians face prison sentences. They lose their jobs. Their worldly goods are taken away: oxen, rice, motorbikes, etc. Their children are forbidden to attend school. In prison, they are subjected to harsh treatment. They are questioned for long lengths of time by policemen, government workers, and other authorities. Yet, they refused to renounce their faith in Jesus Christ. This book makes you think. The Christians of the United States are persecuted in another way, and many have not been able to withstand the bullying techniques of anti-Christians in this country. I could say more but I won't
