I listened to this production on a cross-country trip and really loved botht he story and the audio presentation.

Although these tapes are part of my permanent collection, I am loaning them to Schmetterling for her listening enjoyment during her long commute.

I have finally finished the trilogy!! Although my attention began to flag about halfway through book 2, and book 3 would grab me only every now and then, I am glad that I decided to finish it, because the ending is simply magnificent. I feel guilty for losing interest in books that I know are really quite good, I think perhaps if I were reading-reading the books in print, then it would have been different. Audio books sometimes have that effect on me: lulling me to sleep. Not good when driving at night! Anyway, I am very grateful to buttonbright for loaning the set to me, allowing me to enjoy this children's trilogy that's not just for children.
