Although I have many books on MTR I could not pass on this one, it called to me!! Scarpetta, Marino, Lucy and Benton are back on the trail of a killer who has used an very unusual weapon to make the kill. Scarpetta has never seen such a weapon before and it has some twists and turns. There are part of the story that is very technical dealing with military weapons and Scarpetta is now running a Port Mortuary facility in Massachusetts, where the military is setting up a lab and faciltiy. I did not like all the secrets going on between Scarpetta and Lucy and Benton and some times wanted to smack the characters and say enough-out with it! The ending was much better and was more like the early Scarpetta novels.
