Encyclopaedia of the Dead
4 journalers for this copy...
Couldn't get into this, though I really liked the concept.
Travelling on to the winner of the unusual country sweeps.
My favourite, aposite, quote from this:
"One cannot forever cart one's library around on one's back like a snail. "

Had the same problem, couldn't get into this. I read the first three stories but had to give up in the middle of the 4th as it just wasn't working for me...

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Let's see how the winner of the next round of unusual country author sweeps feels about this!
Browsing the books I could possibly send out to the latest winner of the unusual country author sweeps, I stumbled on this one.
I think that at the time the same thing as described in the previous JEs happened to me, because I had a bookmark just after the 3rd story. But I didn't remember it at all, so I decided to give it another go and it kind of surprised me. I decided This was the one I was going to sent out, after reading it to the end (and that's why I took a bit more time doing so, than stated in the forum).
Now, I wouldn't state this to be a masterpiece of the genre, but I quite liked the stories, this time around. And very much so the author's postscript at the end.
Never having read a serbian author, I ws glad I did and I liked having a glimpse of life (and death) of several characters across several centuries and places, but also of yugoslavian Serbia.
Here's a nice piece of review about this book, that pretty much translates my own opinion but in a better writing...
