A brilliant start to a series that made me go out to buy the rest.
The scene is London, the time is now-ish. You'd recognise it. It really is this world. But some people can see a bit more, like the young copper who tried to take a statement from a voluble - ghost. Luckily there was someone else on the force - well, very loosely, he has his own department - who's a wizard. Not that anyone refers to him as such, at least nothing appears in the paperwork. But they know who to turn to when things are a bit - well, weird...

I picked it up from the Stratford station shelf mentioned by Dellaporta last year and have just finished Foxglove Summer, the fifth book of the series, last month. So a good find, then.
I completely forgot about the bookcrossing sticker in the front 'til I passed it on to my mother yesterday. She'll be transporting it outside the borders of London to continue its journey.
