Great family drama set in Miami. Very dark story! I received this as a Christmas present from a friend and I'm sending it out to a new reader. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It describes how a family can shatter and how it can slowly reconstruct itself, on totally different foundations. Because of personal circumstances, I was very moved by some of the events and characters. Too bad it doesn't come with some samples of the pastries the mother bakes throughout the story!

I really enjoyed this book. Tough story, very well-written. I loved how you can feel the atmosphere lightening towards the end.
I felt pretty hungry towards the book with all of these very yummy pastries...
