An interesting look at a physical therapist stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center for six years and her work with amputees. Most of her patients were victims of the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan - - some missing two or three limbs - - but most of them didn’t consider themselves victims at all and worked hard to be “whole” again. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, the author always engages and inspires the reader with a variety of anecdotes.
