The Sunday Philosophy Club

This is a totally fun story, a mystery set in Edinburgh society with engaging characters. Lovely and light. Isabel Dalhousie is a bright, well-read philosopher and journal editor, a single woman living in Edinburgh. The author does a wonderful job of developing her personality in this first story in the series. Isabel is one of those perpetually curious people who is always musing about life's questions. This inevitably leads her to stick her nose into various affairs large and small, and in this story gets her involved in the death of a man at a concert hall. The author beautifully wraps everything up in the end. The follow-on books are also fun - I've read several of them.
A wandering book -- the karma of literature!
