For you, HI77! Sorry this took me so long to get to you, dear winner of the 5th Manga/Graphic Novel Sweeps. It somehow slipped through the cracks. I hope you enjoy these. They've been on your wishlist for a long time. Congrats!

I read this book a long while ago. :)
Unfortunately I don't remember a great deal about it right anymore other than I thought it was fun and I liked it. So I held onto it.
But now this lucky little book has become part of a book trade. So off it goes to new lands! ;)

The Big Box of Trade Books arrived safely today; many thanks! Looks like a very cute travel journal in graphic-novel form.
This was lots of fun! I enjoyed the author's enthusiasm - even when things didn't go quite to plan - and the many sights, tasty treats, not-so-tasty treats, and costume opportunities were great fun to read about. Whether she's noticing such details as the very drunk-on-sake Hello Kitty figure, panicking over getting the wrong train and missing a much-desired meeting with her adored doll-company folk, or checking out the many themed cafes in Tokyo, her travel adventures were a delight!
