Adrienne Willis, a divorced woman, on her way back into life has promised a friend to tend her inn in Rodanthe. The only guest Dr Paul Flanner, who is trying to escape the shadows of his past, arrives. Together they spend some days at the inn, all alone. So the two wounded people turn to each other and find out what love really is.
Sometimes I'm a bit bored, when I read one of Sparks' books, but this one kept me interested. I loved reading it, because it's tragic, full of warmth and hope. Even the details about the storm were exciting.
