That nice Mr. Mayo from the radio has written a book! Despite being fairly well rooted in the YA camp, I think i'll enjoy this, 'The explosive adventures of an element hunter'

(09/03/14) This was a fun and quite accomplished debut, slipping nicely into a gap between The Famous Five/Secret Seven and Young James Bond. Itchingham ‘Itch’ Lofte is the 14-year-old self-styled ‘Element Hunter’, working his way through the periodic table and getting into scrapes along the way ;) Nicely paced, an interesting lead and 'back story', I would only criticise the last bit of the complicated plot (no spoilers here), not sure the story needed the far-fetched disposal bit – although it did leave some intrigue, for a sequel no doubt?

And finally, I passed straight on to my 12yo nephew and he seemed excited – now that’s a better endorsement than mine :)

Passed on to nephew, a big reader but not a bookcrossing family - here's hoping he joins the cause :)
