Synopsis
This sequel to "The Other Side of the Dale" continues the story of Gervase Phinn working as a schools inspector in the Yorkshire Dales. Many of the same characters appear again: his fellow inspectors, quirks and all, the local landowner-cum-school governor, the eccentric caretaker at the staff development centre and, of course, the lovely Christine from Winnery Nook school who turned his head in the first book. But the real stars are the children, whose not-so-innocent remarks made that first volume so popular.
Taking to the Nottingham meet-up on the 27th March for Netstation.

Kindly delivered to me at the Nottingham meet-up yesterday. I'll journal again when I've read it.
03/09 Finished this on the 'plane on the way over to Canada. Another collection of anecdotes related in Phinn's inimitable style. I plan on releasing this in Halifax NS before I leave.

I picked this up from the OBCZ a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to something light and poignant! It's nice to realize a British bookcrosser was wondering our city while i was away last week. Thank you!
This is a very sweet tale, but boy is it slow. I'm afraid I'm used to a little more excitement in my books than secretaries who refuse to deliver messages, or frozen pipes. It is a very cute book though, and I giggled frequently and I'm sure it willbe just right for someone else.

This cafe has the best omelette I ever had and a very friendly person behind the counter. Very highly reccommended. I left the book on the table (there is only one),but the woman behind the counter will probably know where it is as I explaind a bit about bookcrossing to her.

Picked up the book in a cafe in Shelburne, on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Cute story although I admit I enjoyed it better once I accepted there was not going to be any actual plot. Great radio story I imagine. (I had a hard time understanding some of the script of the british accent!). I'm not sure where I will release it...
