I've found all Edward Marston's novels entertaining and have been amused by something like a couple of dozen since first discovering them a few years ago. I was delighted to come across three of his Elizabethan mysteries that I'd not read among the 3 for £5 books on offer in The Works outlet within Carr Gate Garden Centre this afternoon.

The Fair Maid of Bohemia refers to both Sophia Magdalena, great-niece of Rudolph II, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, and the play that Westfield's Men travel to far-away Prague to perform in her honour at her wedding to Conrad of Brunswick.
This ninth of Edward Marston's Elizabethan Theatre Murder Mysteries is just as entertaining as all the rest, full of murder and mayhem, assault and battery, kidnapping, spying, treachery .... and other such delights ....
Great fun!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Added to the many books on offer at this attractive and always well-stocked Official BookCrossing Zone!

Over a million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 more than ten million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!

Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't have to cost anything, although the site always appreciates donations towards running costs, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!

Spotted this on the shelves at Trinity when we took the surplus books from our gathering today at The White Swan.

Just couldn't resist it!

I don't think it's a spoiler to say "....and they all lived happily evereafter, well most of them!"

Another great entertainment from Mr. Marston.

It's now 8.50 am on Saturday morning and this book is now Of to Leeds to meet some Bookcrossing friends.
