From the book jacket:
Mrs. Sookie Poole of Point Clear, Alabama, has just married off the last of her daughters and is looking forward to relaxing and perhaps traveling with her husband, Earle. The only thing left to contend with is her mother, the formidable Lenore Simmons Krackenberry. Lenore may be a lot of fun for other people, but is, for the most part, an overbearing presence for her daughter. Then one day, quite by accident, Sookie discovers a secret about her mother's past that knocks her for a loop and suddenly calls into question everything she ever thought she knew about herself, her family, and her future. Sookie begins a search for answers that takes her to California, the Midwest, and back in time, to the 1940s, when an irrepressible woman named Fritzi takes on the job of running her family's filling station. Soon truck drivers are changing their routes to fill up at the All-Girl Filling Station. Then, Fritzi sees an opportunity for an even more groundbreaking adventure. As Sookie learns about the adventures of the girls at the All-Girl Filling Station, she finds herself with new inspiration for her own life.

This is to go with a book sent as part of JennyC1230's VBB. A plus-one that has nothing to do with the VBB, but grants a wish from the BC wishlist!
Feel free to enjoy the book, keep it, or pass it along to a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker, or simply leave it somewhere for another lucky reader to enjoy as you did!

The book arrived today. Thank you so much for sharing this with me.
Enjoyed. But Sookie drove me crazy with her being so upset about being ........ She was 60 years old and should have known better. I did enjoy Fritzi.
Enjoy! KTM RABCK to maggiesma for the Sapphire Release Challenge 2015
What a surprise in the mail! I enjoy Fannie Flagg's humor and look forward to reading this. Thank you booklady331
This was a joy to read. The history of the WASP flying females in WWII was interesting and Fannie Flagg is always funny. Next stop will be with Waterfalling.
Sent by mail to Waterfalling. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Arrived with today's mail. I've read several of her books over the years and do not expect to be disappointed with this one. Thanks for sending it on.
This was a joy to read. Fannie Flagg has always had a good story to tell.
Sent to someone who had this on her wish list.
The first Bookcrossing book to arrive at our new home! (Our bed isn't even there yet!) I've alas liked Fannie Flagg and have high hopes for this. Thanks so much for sharing.
Fannie Flagg has always been an easy-to-read, feel-good author for me. Subsequently, her books do not linger long on my shelves. This was no exception and I definitely enjoyed reading it as my bedside table book. Not only did I have a pleasant end to my day, I learned a great lot from this book. I had never heard of the WASPs of WWII and was driven to educate myself further regarding them. A quick, easy, true-to-form Flagg story.
