Bought because of the article, "Be civilized: Send a handwritten message" in the June 22, 2003 Pittsburgh Post Gazette, which I read in the Autumn 2003 issue of The Letter Exchange. I subscribed to The Letter Exchange (LEX) back in the mid 1990s, but let my subscription lapse. Then the magazine closed shop for a few years (not because I let my subscription lapse, of course, although...). It recently got new life and when I got an invite, I couldn't resist.

This article is posted in the editorial section of the magazine, and it is especially fitting since the author of this book (which is featured in the article) is from Boston, where I am now, and the newspaper is in Pittsburgh, where I hope to soon live.
