Heroes from the Attic: A Gripping True Story of Triumph

Since I am the author of this memoir, I will quote from a book review in the "The Record-Courier," Oregon:
"... Herman writes with an offbeat sense of humor and a touch of irony that will at times make you laugh and at times make you cry, but "Heroes from the Attic" is a journey of both heartache and triumph that you won't soon forget."

This week I will begin a bookray for this book to the Eurasian continent.
Author's Note:
The rating of my own memoir is based on feedback from readers worldwide of both editions: It is often "...the best book I've ever read."
Author's Caution:
If you have personally endured great suffering, do not read the first part of my memoir at bedtime. It is cathartic. Nonetheless, previous such readers were inspired by my humor and triumphs, and found courage and strength within themselves to deal with their own problems.

Sorry for the delay but I was moving. Fortunatly the Post brought it to me before I packed all the boxes. Will read it asap.
I must say, that this book is a real pageturner, it's fascinating and a joy to read.
It's an extraordinary life, that the author lived.
The book is full of humour and full of sadness, sometimes both at the same time. A joy to read and a really good memoir.

The book just arrived. Thanks for forwarding it to me. It looks very interesting indeed, I'm looking very much forward to reading it ;-)
After having read the book ( sorry it took some time ;-) I must say it is a remarkable autobiography. I liked it very much and I do highly recommend it.
Just allow a personal remark: I'm glad you've made it, Herman. In both ways - In your live and by writing the book!

"Heroes from the Attic" was waiting in the mailbox for my arrival from summer vacations. I have a pile of other rings and rays to get through so it might take me a while to start this one.
Thank you Bni-Legi for sending it to me and Herman for generously sharing his book with the lot of us.
