Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, Book 4) - Series Bookring
9 journalers for this copy...
This is a fantastic book by a fantastic author, and I had to share it with everyone. This is the fourth in a series about a wizard in Chicago named Harry Dresden, who is constantly having a bad day. He's just been contacted by the Winter Queen of Faerie to do her bidding, if he wants to have his life as his own again. And if he wants to save all of creation.

Caught in the mail today along with the other 4 books in the series. Thanks rslicer. I'll be reading these within the next day or so and getting them out to BrynnSC.
Another great entry in the series. In this tale we get to learn more of Harry's past than in the others and it makes for an interesting story.
I was glad to see the Alphas were back and enjoyed getting to "meet" the Fae courts as well.

Received all 5 of the Dresden Files books in the mail, today. I will PM nmarshall88 and make another entry when I finish the book. Thanks for sharing rslicer!
The best one, yet! After starting a war between the Red Vampires and the White Council, Harry has been threatened to be turned over to the Vamps. for peace-by the White Council. He has no choice but to solve a murder for the Winter Queen of the Faeries to save his own skin and the world. Someone interesting from Harry's past shows up surprising and confusing him. We finally get more insight to the White Council and the workings of Faerie politics.
Every Dresden book I read I think "Poor Harry"! And this one is no different. I'm starting to think Harry is related to Popeye. (OK, I was watching Popeye with my boys today. lol) You think the guy is finished and he finds his can of spinach!
Fav. Quotes:
"Somewhere out there was a village I'd deprived of an idiot."
"I caught it, stuck my tongue out at Aurora, yelled, "Meep, meep!" and ran like hell."

My husband has really enjoyed reading this series! Thanks for the bookring!
received today
Starting this today, looking forward to it as I've loved the ones in this series so far!
Arrived today!
Summer Knight was the best book so far in the series. I loved the concept of the Summer and Winter Knights. I am becoming increasingly in awe of Jim Butcher’s fertile imagination.
Received this set of five books as a ring - sorry for the late journal, they arrived when I was away on holidays.
They are definitely getting better with each volume now. This is the best one so far if you ask me. Really exciting, that war above the clouds and all!!! Some really unexpected twists and turns here, too!
I received this paperback this morning. Slightly confused as it's book four in the series. Am I waiting for books one and two to arrive too???
I'm just not getting on with this book, maybe I've overdosed on Harry Dresden, but even though I've read half the books already, I think I'm going to call it a day and pass it on the the next guy.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Well, it took a year but this finally made it to the top of my TBR pile !
Think I've had a bit too much of Harry Dresden. As individual stories, they're fine. They have a good plot, plenty of action and interesting characters. But put together as a series, they're just too similar.
Will now be on it's way to mysteryfan03.
