Lovely to read of Miss Marple in lace, rather than a sensible suit.

There must have been thirteen problems between Australian and Finnish post operators as well, since the envelope in which the book arrived was shredded to bits! I am really surprised no-one hadn't put the whole thing into a ziplock or other plastic bag along the way (have seen such thoughtfulness happen), because it's a small wonder the book arrived with any address information on top! It must have been Dame Agatha watching over her book.. Thank you ever so much for sending it, 42again! I'm tempted to start it right away...

Miss Marple sometimes manages to annoy me with her disdaining know-it-all mannerism and unfortunately in short stories her characteristics overwhelmed everything else. Though the cases themselves were interesting, I couldn't feel but slightly frustrated with the old spinster. But still, the stories made a great night-time read!

Book's off to Tarya!

I absolutely adore Christie and now that I'm re-reading her books (first time in English though), this was more than welcome :) Thank you, pippis!
I haven't read this Christie's book yet but as I have it also in Finnish (Kolmetoista, https://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/15264263/) I'll mail this with another book tomorrow. There's enough space in Helposti envelope for two thin paperbacks ;)
Luckily we bookcrossers can make COVID-19 safe journeys all over the world by just opening a book cover!

Safe journeys indeed - and fairly cheap ones, too! Thank you for this extra treat. I may have read it before but it was many years ago... Thanks again, Tarya!
