I chose to read this book this month for 2 reasons:
1)This book has now been made into a movie, which I have not seen but the publicity made me want to read the book and watch the movie. I actually contacted Dabercro and asked her to send me the book that was on her available shelf. Thank you!
2) Plum-Crazy's What to Read for December theme was an advent calendar with a different way to chose a book each day. I chose this book for Day 14 -a book where there is no "L" (Noel) in the title or authors name. It also would have fit for Day 9 -a book that has been made into a film.

This is a very beautiful and heartwarming story. I'm considering a Christmas Jar of my own. Reserving this book and hanging on to it for a while.
