This was the first Sophie Kinsella book I read, and perhaps because of that, my favourite! I laughed all the way through the ridiculous mix ups.
For that reason, I choose this book for our wrapped gift exchange for our Calgary bookcrossing meeting. We wrap a book and write the first line of the book on the outside..."Would you consider yourself stressed?" ......in this case...and the group picks their gift based on this information alone...lots of fun!

Fans of Kinsella's popular Shopaholic series will find the author in fine form here in her second stand-alone tale, following Can You Keep a Secret? (2004). Samantha Sweeting, an ambitious lawyer on the fast track to becoming a partner at her prestigious law firm, is horrified to discover an overlooked memo on her desk that ends up costing a client 50 million pounds. In a daze, Samantha hops a train and finds herself in the country. She walks up to the first house she sees and knocks on the door, intending to inquire about the nearest hotel, but Trish Geiger mistakes her for the new housekeeper. Still in shock, Samantha decides to go along with Trish and her husband, Eddie's, mistake, despite the fact that she has no domestic skills. Happily, she is aided by the handsome gardener, Nathaniel. Somehow I registered this book twice and the journal entry regarding it's release went with the wrong BCID number....so here it is......

I chose this book for our wrapped book gift exchange (wrap a book and put only the first line of the story on the outside. People chose the book on what the sentence says...fun!). Hope whomever chooses it likes it as much as I did!

Picked this up at the Christmas party for the Calgary meet up group. We always exchange books based on the first sentence. In this case the first sentence says "Would you consider yourself stressed?". As it is the holidays season I would say YES!!!!! I've read this book but it was a long time ok, I remember really liking it so I look forward to reading it again.

Brought this home from the May BookCrossing meeting
I only made it through 100 pages and could not continue on. Found the main character too annoying.
Taking to the March BookCrossing meeting to be enjoyed by the next reader.
