A very nice book about about history, that takes place in Indiana at 1850. So for me who just moved here an excellent introduction to local history.

Eigentlich hätte ich diesem Buch gern die Zweitkategorie Liebesschnulze gegeben. Dieser Handlunsgstrang ist etwas vorraussehbar. Interessanter ist viel mehr die Beschreibung des "underground railroad" die es entlaufenden Sklaven ermöglichte ins sichere Kanada zu fliehen. Gleichzeitig gibt es einen Einblick in das Leben der Quäker und in die Amerikanische Geschichte. Also für mich ein guter Einstieg in meine Zeit hier.

This great book which tells you a lot about the history in this area is now waiting for new readers in the bookshelf on the first floor. If you come in through the main door just turn right twice.
