Lovely setting and a good premise for a story that just fell flat to me. Hope someone out there loves it!

Picked this up from philomom when we were both (along with 6 other Atlanta BCers) being interviewed for an article on BookCrossing in Creative Loafing. A good time was had by all, and I look forward to reading this book.

3/3/04 update:
This is a strange book. It is about a woman who goes on a trip to the Galapagos Islands to recover from her divorce. Meanwhile, she ponders the demise of a childhood friendship. The overbearing idolization of Charles Darwin and the alternating self-pity and shallow introspection are more than a bit irritating, but it is a oddly readable book. I have a few other complaints, but I will save them. Overall, it was a bit better than average, but I agree with philomom that the premise, though promising, fell flat.
