The vampires of Asheville, North Carolina, want to establish their own clan, but since they owe loyalty to the Master Vampire of New Orleans they must work out the terms with him. To come up with an equitable solution, he sends an envoy with the best bodyguard blood money can buy: Jane Yellowrock.

I remember picking up the first book of this series at the bookstore thinking that is sounded good. I am very glad I bought it. Four books in, it is quite an amazing series.

Finally flying to elsi! Today was an unplanned post office run, I put the book in the envelope and ran out the door, no time for even a note to go with it!
