Wow, I absolutely loved this story too with its magical creatures with dark and light talents. A whirlwind story, Dragon Bound provides a lightning-strike like romantic match, and a rousingly, action-packed and fraught introduction to the Elder Races world skilfully crafted by Thea Harrison.

Dragos as the ruler of a Wyrkind Empire comprised of different species of Wyr he brought together to form a strengthened community is compelling, fiercely intelligent, harsh in his life style, relentlessly driven and yet lonely. Pia as the slight, bright half-Wyr, graceful and resourceful, always wary, and living a quiet life in the shadows is captivating. Lonely and yet determined not to break her rules and look for comfort in a relationship Pia finds her life start to come apart after she does look for the luxury of companionship. Then Dargos who is used to being obeyed unquestioningly and Pia who is used to being her own boss confront each other both their worlds are shaken to the core.

Here in the first of this series through the story of the clash of personalities of Dragos and Pia we see something of snarling politics between the shifter people lead by Dragos and the Fae Dark and light courts as great start to the series. However, my start to the series was with Storm Heart, second in the series, two months ago, however I loved it and swooped upon this when I stumbled upon it.

OK this travels with Fantasy Lover - a surprise extra - as I cannot send Storm Heart yet it is at my mother’s house in another city and will have to travel separately. Meanwhile, enjoy this!
