Through it all, Lyz pragmatically details the challenges of a single parent raising a daughter in the aftermath of horrific tragedy, and urges Emmy to listen for what Lyz can still hear when the wind is right: her father’s voice.

rabck from book_drunkard; Written as a series of letters to her infant daughter, the author focuses lightly on the events during and post 9/11, but more on her courtship and marriage to Jeremy. The pictures leading into each chapter were a nice touch. The difficulties in being a "hero family in the spotlight" were mentioned lightly, but it must have been so hard to grieve and be pushed into the spotlight by the media and well-meaning general public folks who were clamoring for more info about the tragedy. Interesting about the things that were recovered. This book will travel along in the "Y" bookring - a very worthwhile read.
