The beginning was a little hard to follow, but once you got into the story, everything became clear. I did think the structure of the book (the story told through eyewitness accounts compiled later) did undercut the element of suspense and surprise, since we knew from the beginning how it would end. Despite this though, the book was a "page-turner" that was hard to put down.
