I thought I had read the whole Sharpe series, but I didn't recognise this late one, 1803 set in India - i'll have to check my records ;) Thanks for sharing Izzy.

(10/01/15) The third 'retrospective' Sharpe novel, at the end of Wellesby's (Wellington) victories in India, before they both move on to the European theatre. Of course Sharpe is an unrealistic gung-ho figure doing incredible superhuman things to help defeat the impregnable fortress at Gawilghur. But it's fun nonsense, and I feel like i'm learning a bit of history as well ;)
