A graduate in the 1970s is feed up with his life and goes into the Alaskan wilderness to find himself. But in fact, it's more like losing it. He gets more and more into strange imaginations, and estranges the people around him.
This book was quite hard to read, not because of language (I'm no native speaker, but usually don't have much trouble with English books.) but because of the story and how it's presented. It's often hard to understand and sympathise with the main character.
The book was a free advance reading copy distributed via bookcrossing in 2004; it has taken a long time for me to read it and has only gathered dust since then. Time to send it on its way…
