1933 Newbery Medal winner; this edition includes an introduction by Pearl S. Buck, and is illustrated by Ed Young. Includes a short glossary and some interesting notes (which I believe date from the 1973 edition) comparing Young Fu's China with a more contemporary version. Given the recent changes in China, it would be instructive for any future editions to compare all three times.
Library binding; I picked this up for a dollar or two at the Strand in NYC, and the pocket in the back says P.S. 63, 121 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009.

Fu Yuin-Fa and his widowed mother move from the country to the big city of Chungking. There Young Fu becomes an apprentice to Tang the coppersmith, makes an enemy of Small Den, and is befriended by Small Li. As he matures, he learns many life lessons - and the reader can learn a bit about China just before the Communists took over.
