It's an interesting read about the power of the brain when something goes wrong. Dr. Sacks discusses various patients and the issues they had when not everything is exactly in place with the brain. From my own perspective I found it interesting when I compare it to my own fathers experience at the latter stages of his brain tumour when the utterly simple tasks like breathing completely puzzled him. It was obvious that something in his brain was stopping him from remembering how to breath normally.
The only downside of the book is that it's very technical in places. And the reader can get bogged down in the science.
