The sixth installment in the wildly popular Ava Lee series from Arthur Ellis Award winner, Ian Hamilton.
Ava has been in Hong Kong looking after Uncle. She has also set up an investment company with May Ling Wong and her sister-in-law, Amanda Yee. One of their first investments ― a furniture company owned by two sisters in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo ― runs into immediate problems with a Dutch customer. Ava goes to the Netherlands to investigate, but her life is threatened when she is confronted by a gang of local thugs in Borneo. Out of the shadows comes a mysterious man from Shanghai . . .

My gosh, Ava Lee cannot catch a break.
Ava Lee breaks into a new business after heartbreak. Of course this business runs into a couple of problems that only Ava's very special set of skills, can solve.

Bringing this book to the monthly book crossing meeting at Cravings Market Restaurant
Brought this home from the June BookCrossing meeting.
Always a good read and this one didn't disappoint.
Taking to the September BookCrossing meeting to be enjoyed by the next reader.
Picked up at Calgary bookcrossing sometime in the last two months. Sorry! I'll try to get better at journaling on time!
A good Ava Lee book, still a nice relatively mindless read, but the situations keep getting more and more serious and dire. There was so much going on in the background of the "two sisters" storyline that the actual "two sisters" issue felt rushed. Such a heartbreaking ending too.
Will be brought back to Calgary bookcrossing for the next reader.
