The fifth installment in the wildly popular Ava Lee series, The Scottish Banker of Surabaya exposes the dark world of money laundering and the Italian mob.
Ava begins an investigation into what she thinks is a Ponzi scheme. The trail leads her to a bank in Indonesia that is run by a Scot, but in actuality is a front for an elaborate money-laundering operation for Italian mobsters. The relationship between Ava and the Scotsman turns nasty and personal. Meanwhile, Uncle’s health problems become apparent...

Released at the November meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant.
Apparently I totally missed this one when I was registering the others!

Bringing this book to the monthly book crossing meeting at Cravings Market Restaurant
Brought this home from the June BookCrossing meeting.
While I enjoyed the book it felt different than the others. We saw a darker but also more vulnerable side to Ava. I think change is in the air.
Taking to the September BookCrossing meeting to be enjoyed by the next reader.
Picked up at Calgary bookcrossing sometime in the last two months. Sorry! I'll try to get better at journaling on time!
Picked up at a recent bookcrossing meeting.
Taken to the September meeting! Still catching up the group with all the ones I read on vacation....
