Thanks so much for the surprise book! I like this series. I was thinking about reading another book in this series a few weeks ago.
Book #3 in the Harper Connelly series: Hired to find a missing boy in Doraville, North Carolina, Harper Connelly and her brother Tolliver head there--only to discover that the boy was only one of several who had disappeared over the previous five years. All of them teenagers. All unlikely runaways.
All calling for Harper.
Harper soon finds them--eight victims, buried in the half-frozen ground, all come to an unspeakable end. Afterwards, what she most wants to do is collect her fee and get out of town ahead of the media storm that's soon to descend. But when she's attacked and prevented from leaving, she reluctantly becomes a part of the investigation as she learns more than she cares to about the dark mysteries and long-hidden secrets of Doraville-knowledge that makes her the next person likely to rest in an ice-cold grave.

My Review: I loved this book. I read most of it today. It's very hard to put down. It's my favorite in the series. I'm getting the next one (last in series so far) from the library tomorrow because I want to see what happens. Harper's relationship with Tolliver is becoming more complicated.

Harper has a gift for finding dead people and perceiving what they died from. She travels with her brother, who isn't actually her brother, on jobs to locate dead people, or to tell people what their relative died of.
In this story, she and her not-brother Tolliver, travel to North Carolina where a number of boys have gone missing over the last five years or so. She finds them but things only get more complex as law enforcement questions the validity of her psychic capabilities and a killer or killers need to be located.
Love and bad weather round out the story.
