Lindsay is just getting into her groove as the director of the Briar Creek Public Library when a vacationing NY editor brings a buzz to town. Lindsay's friend Beth wants to have her book reviewed but her famous author boyfriend, Rick, tries to stop her. Lindsay gets Beth a chance to meet the editor anyway and they discover the real reason for Rick's attitude. When they go to confront him, they find him murdered and now Beth is the prime suspect.
