Middlemarch
2 journalers for this copy...
George Eliot gives a portrait of provincial life in Victorian England in this novel, that is so in-depth and has so much insight into human relationships. I actually prefer The Mill On The Floss and Adam Bede to Middlemarch but I was fascinated by the connections between Dorothea, Casaubon and Ladislaw.
I have another copy of this novel so I am releasing this one into the wild in the hope that the reciever will enjoy it, or if not, at least make notes on it and then release it again!
Wow! Has been on my "Must Read Someday" list for years and now it just turns up out of the blue, taunting me to start reading it right this instant. Which I shall.
