You either like Bernard Cornwell's books or you totally hate them - there appears to be no middle ground and I admit to generally coming into te former category (as you might gather from the fact that I have released two other of his titles). This is the first in a new series set during the Hundred Years War and, like most of his works, has great events seen through the eyes of the lower ranks - in this case an English Archer.

I enjoyed this enough to release the paperback and buy a hardback so that I could read it again.

(Yes, okay this is a second copy of the book that I have released - this one was freein Ottakar's and I couldn't resist. Who can resist "Free Books" after all ?)

Who indeed? Resisting free books has never been my strong point! I have never encountered this writer before, so I'll let you know which team to enrol me on - the lovers or the haters.

Have to enrol me on the "didn't have time-ers", I'm afraid. Though a quick flip through at random kinda makes me think it wouldn't be for me, anyway. Sorry to have hung onto it for so long.
