The legend of Merlin and King Arthur is continued in this second book of Mary Stewart's Arthurian saga. I liked it well enough but it isn't something that I'd care to read again. At 500 pages the plot seems to plod along not really getting anywhere for page after page, then something happens, then the plodding begins again. I think the author could have shaved off 200 pages and made the story much better.
