Received this book in the mail safe and sound! I really enjoyed the first one, got a few chuckles out of it and it was very easy and pleasant reading. Courting Trouble by Lisa Scottoline (Link) is next in line TBR and will be sent to you in exchange as soon as I've finished it! Thank you! I appreciate it very much!

August 15, 2013: Short List!

August 24, 2013: Started reading this fun little mystery today.

August 29, 2013: Finished this today! It was a fun mystery! I love Jack and wonder if the mystery of HIS murder ever gets solved, and if so, does that mean we won't hear from him any more? It's funny. Jack seems to think that spending eternity trapped in a bookstore is eternal damnation. Me? I don't think I would see it that way AT ALL. Unless I was trapped in a bookstore and NOT ABLE to actually READ the books. (grin)

Saving this book to offer with the next three books in the series as a RABCK.

February 26, 2014: The set of four books was accepted by JennyC1230 and will be on their way soon.

My Review: This is a wonderful book/series. I love the premise of a ghost who was a hard-boiled detective now able to communicate to a bookstore owner. All the slang is fun. I watch a lot of old movies so most of the time I know what he's saying. I'm conflicted, in a way I want to find out what happened to Jack (who killed him), but I'm afraid that would mean the end of the series. If only Jack were a live person, maybe he and Penelope would fall for each other. ;-)
